MILESHIFT REPORT ADVERTISING & SPONSORSHIP
Automotive Advertising & Sponsorship
Discuss clearly identified advertising alongside automotive ownership, parts and manufacturing coverage for an English-speaking US readership.
Discuss a relevant campaign
MileShift Report welcomes inquiries about automotive display advertising and clearly disclosed sponsored articles. Our editorial focus is used-car research, post-warranty ownership, parts and systems, and the manufacturing developments behind them. The intended audience is English-speaking US readers researching those subjects, not a stated number of monthly visitors or verified customer prospects.
Have a relevant proposal? Start an advertising inquiry with the product or service, intended audience and campaign objective. This is an inquiry route, not a checkout or an automatic booking. You can learn more about the publication on our About page.
Formats to discuss
- Display advertising: a clearly identified placement linking to a relevant advertiser destination. Position, dimensions, devices and campaign dates need to be agreed for the proposed placement.
- Sponsored articles: useful automotive content with an explicit commercial label and an identified sponsor. Sources and product claims remain subject to review.
- Section sponsorship: a proposal associated with a defined editorial topic, with the sponsorship identified and independent reporting kept separate from advertiser messaging.
These are formats for discussion, not a claim that every slot is available or that any named company has booked a campaign. Technical requirements, availability and price must be confirmed before a placement is committed. No newsletter circulation, proprietary research service or exclusive audience package is included merely by appearing on this page.
What to include in your inquiry
- Your name, company and role, including the advertiser’s identity if you represent an agency.
- The product or service, destination URL and why it fits the publication’s automotive coverage.
- Preferred format, proposed dates and target geography; distinguish US-only requirements from broader English-language reach.
- Campaign objective and an indicative budget if you have one, so the scope can be discussed.
- A brief description of the creative or article, supporting sources for substantive claims, and any proposed tracking or third-party scripts.
Please send a summary first. Do not include payment-card details, customer records or confidential business documents in the general contact form. There is no need to commission finished creative before the format and requirements have been discussed.
Labeling and editorial independence
Paid promotional content must be identifiable as advertising. Our standard uses clear labels such as “Advertisement” or “Sponsored Advertising Content,” with the sponsor identified, on relevant previews and the full placement. Labels should remain readable on mobile. This approach is informed by the FTC’s native advertising guidance, not a claim of regulatory approval.
Payment does not buy a favorable independent review, removal of substantiated criticism or invented product-testing experience. Sponsored claims need supporting evidence, and commercial relationships and AI assistance must be disclosed when relevant. The Editorial Policy explains these publishing standards.
Paid links are qualified for their commercial relationship. Our standard is the sponsored link attribute; Google’s documentation identifies it for paid placements and also accepts nofollow. We do not offer guaranteed followed links, search rankings, indexing or organic traffic as part of a campaign.
Content we decline
We do not accept deceptive repair or safety claims, odometer manipulation, emissions-defeat products, counterfeit parts, unsafe modification promotions, copied articles or undisclosed advertorials. A relevant automotive product still needs truthful claims and a suitable destination page. Requests to disguise payment, insert unrelated links or impersonate a qualified expert are not suitable proposals.
For an original editorial contribution rather than an advertising campaign, use our contributor guidelines. A sponsored guest article remains commercial content and follows the disclosure requirements above.
Confirm scope before booking
Before proceeding, agree the deliverables, label, destination links, creative requirements, schedule, price, reporting and any revision or cancellation terms in writing. Ask what audience measurements are available, their reporting period and what each metric actually counts. If a figure is not available or verified, it should not be represented as a guaranteed audience.
Traffic, clicks, leads and sales are different outcomes; none is promised by this inquiry page. Send your campaign proposal to discuss a defined placement and realistic expectations.
