MileShift Report is an independent automotive editorial publication. Our priority is to help owners and used-car shoppers understand reliability, repair burden, manufacturing changes, and parts availability without presenting illustrative models as verified field evidence.

Source hierarchy

We prioritize official recall databases, manufacturer service information, regulator publications, court or government records, and clearly identified technical documentation. Owner reports and forum discussions may identify questions worth investigating, but they are treated as anecdotal unless corroborated.

Independence

Advertising, sponsorships, affiliate relationships, and contributed articles do not purchase a favorable conclusion. Commercial content is labelled, reviewed, and kept separate from editorial scoring.

AI and illustrative data

Interface mockups, projections, and synthetic examples are explicitly labelled. They must not be interpreted as a vehicle-specific diagnosis, recall result, repair quote, laboratory certification, or substitute for an inspection by a qualified professional.
